Using Printer Setup Utility I could create a printer icon on the desktop (select a printer then pull down the Printers menu to Create Desktop Printer). Dragging multiple pdf or plain text files onto the icon causes all the files to be automatically printed (OSX likes pdf files). But this does not work with Appleworks files, though it sometimes launches the application but only if the file has the extension .cwk (it launched Word files with a .doc extension). So, our options are limited: we can convert all files to pdf prior to batch printing (not an ideal fix). I hope there is another solution ... any other ideas would be great!

One of the last holdouts in OS9 feature recapture has arrived (although it may have been preceded by others)--

Ram Disk Creator !

15.00 shareware. Check it out in Jaguar, Panther, rate it.

Definitely an OS9 classic feature, worked with everything. Might have something to do with AppleWorks, not Desktop Printer. Check the OSX troubleshooting forums.

In our ongoing effort to collect not only OSX recapture but third party veteran apps and functions made anew for OSX, MFI notes today the update for Default Folder with some excellent behavioral tweaks:

Default Folder 1.9.7 is right here, or at versiontracker.com!

Remember Type It 4 Me? Ricardo Ettore's great OS9 macro app was the only way i could preload game passwords for many games that would lock out access to Notebook lists or the like. This extraordinarily valuable macro expander utility complements QuicKeys cabailities for total OSX Mac automation. Designed for Jaguar and Panther. They showed on the MacWorld Expo 05 show floor and offered great chocolate too. There's no macro for chocolate but plenty of expansion potential.

TypeIt4Me is right here!

Frank Vercruesse's excellent little ASM -- Application Switcher Menu works fine in Tiger, avoiding any conflict with the new fixed Spotlight icon in the menu bar. No conflicts I can see.

The Hide Dock plist recipe advocated here also continues to work like a charm under 10.4.1.

And TypeIt4Me seems to work well in Tiger 10.4.1. Tried expansion, no problem!

Right here!

4.75 Togs!!

An updated TPW solution from David Adamson's website:

DragonDrop!

It's cute, it's behaving, and the developer continues to improve it. Ratings?

Windowshade 4.0.2 just released, according to MFI's front page yesterday.

The new release fixes numerous issues with WindowShade X not working right with certain applications (Opera, Azureus, Eclipse, Mariner Write, Internet Explorer, and others).

Update free to all registered users.
