I have an iMac (20" Intel Core2Duo circa 2006 w/ Tiger). I want to set up a second monitor in another room strictly for visual monitoring. But the monitor I am planning to buy has a cam and mic built in. Will these devices try to override the iMac's cam and audio devices? If so, would it be simply a matter of going into my System Preferences and iMovie & GarageBand preferences to re-select preferred devices for audio and video?
