Seems there are quite a few obituaries of recent.

Rather than make a new post for each one, how about we use just this one to take note of a
life gone from our world?

What do you think?

Just in per NPR: Buddy Ebsen, 95, passed away last night.

I agree as well, but let's hope that, by the time we need this thread again, it will be so old that nobody can find it - and I mean that in the nicest possible way!

Jazz Great Benny Carter Dies at 95

July 14, 2003

Legendary saxophonist Benny Carter, who helped launch the golden age of big-band jazz, dies at age 95. In his six-decade career, Carter performed or wrote music for jazz legends Duke Ellington and Count Basie. Carter was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987 and the congressional designation as a National Treasure of Jazz in 1988.

Jeez, I can't believe these great musicians are all going at one time.

Not that things aren't "close to due" at 95.

Legends passing…

They never played Syracuse or the Waterbed Hotel. Being a young fellow, you missed some great stuff. But then, you see, 20 years from now, you can say the same thing.

Twenty years from now I can say "They never played Syracuse or the Waterbed Hotel. Being a young fellow, you missed some great stuff" ???

I sure hope I got a good memory in 20 years to remember that.

(I'm trying to figure out you old farts)

Infinity, keep playing.
