MBP Leopard 10.5.1 Intel

Not one of the startup modifier keys operates now during bootup. After upgrading to Leopard, initially they did, but went to zap the PRAM today and discovered that NONE work; i.e. my keyboard is effectively dead during the boot process. Keyboard works OK when MacBookPro fully booted.

Q1 Any ideas.....??
Q2 Anyone know of another way of resetting the PRAM other than <Cntrl, Option, P, R> during bootup....??
